Personality: Perky, friendly and a bit eccentric and comes off at first sight as an odd ‘girl’. But despite this, Maora is very intelligent and often decides to use this for his own entertainment. He makes it his job to know who’s who and find out everything about them so he can stir things up a bit by making up some good rumors. Maora seems to have friends everywhere, so there isn’t anywhere where Mao-chan’s ears don’t reach.
As the Mailman of Love, Maora has a more calm and mature air around him. Mailman Maora is always willing to lend an ear and give you some good advice. He also is willing to help people hook up. People think he’s an easy guy to talk to… this is probably where Mao-chan get’s all his dirt…
Background (AU!Canon; HP): Yoshitaka was born into a wealthy pureblood family of fashion designers. They design both wizard and muggle clothing so the Ichinomiya family is pretty well known. Their main business is in Japan, so Yoshitaka was raised there. He used to act like an average boy and do things like climb trees- unfortunately this is how he caused a head injury to his best friend Maguri. Yoshitaka apologized by ‘taking responsibility’ and proposing to him, when they told Yoshitaka’s parents they laughed at them saying two boys couldn’t get married.
Since that day Yoshitaka put all his effort into becoming a girl and with his father’s help Yoshitaka become Maora. As Maora he wore dresses, make up and even talked like a girl. When he confronted Maguri all his hard work was thrown in his face when Maguri told him he liked guys and if Maora changed back he might date him. This only got Maora mad and he yelled that he’d never date Maguri. Ever since that day Maora has retained his girl like qualities and he and Maguri fight like cats and dogs.
Until recently Maora has been going to a private wizarding school in Japan but he decided he needed more of a challenge and transferred to Hogwarts. Maora who is overly intelligent passes all of his classes with ease and gets his homework in on time to make sure he has a huge amount of free time on his hands. As the girl Maora he’s always hanging around his friends and has with him a strange looking golden owl Okori-makuri.
He’s also adopted another persona as the Mailman of Love. In the boys uniform and wearing platform shoes to make him look taller, Maora goes around the school delivering love letters and offering advice to those who need it. To add to his gentle personality as the mailman he has a white kitten name Paru on his shoulder all the time.
